Shenzhen, referred to as "Shen", another name Pengcheng, Guangdong Province under the jurisdiction of the prefectural city, Guangdong Province is the deputy provincial city, the State planning separately listed city, megacity, approved by The State Council of China's special economic zone, national economic center city, international city, science and technology innovation center, regional financial center, trade and logistics center.
Climate
Shenzhen is located in the south-central coastal area of Guangdong Province, east to the mouth of the Pearl River in low latitude. It has a subtropical monsoon climate with long summer and short winter, mild climate, abundant sunshine and abundant rainfall.
Traffic
Shenzhen is a national railway hub city. The Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Beijing-Kowloon Railway, two main railway trunk lines running through the Chinese mainland, meet in Shenzhen, which basically defines the railway layout of Shenzhen that runs from east to west and ends from north to south. Xili Station has been added as the second main high-speed railway station in Shenzhen. The Guangzhou-Kowloon Railway, Xiamen-Shenzhen Railway and Shigen-Shenzhen intercity Railway were completed and opened to traffic. The construction of Guangdong section of Ganshen Guest Special Site began at the end of 2016, and the land expropriation and demolition work has been started simultaneously. The Shenzhen-Mau Railway section from Shenzhen to Jiangmen has been included in the 13th Five-Year Railway Plan of China Railway Corporation, and construction is scheduled to start in 2018. The Futian -- Shanwei Rapid Transit trains have been successfully launched, and travel conditions in Pingshan and other eastern regions have improved.
There are Shenzhen Station, Shenzhen North Station, Shenzhen West Station, Shenzhen East Station (formerly Buji Railway Station), Futian Station, Shenzhen Pingshan Station, Shenzhen Airport Station, Shenzhen Airport North Station, Guangming City Station, Pinghu Station, Xili Station, etc.
Shenzhen Bao 'an International Airport is located in Bao 'an District. It was officially opened to traffic in 1991 with a flight grade of 4F. Baoan Airport is a regional hub airport in China. It is the fourth largest airport in China after Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Beijing Capital International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and one of the top 100 airports in the world.
Shenzhen Metro has been put into operation a total of 12 lines, respectively: Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, Line 5, Line 6, Line 7, Line 8, Line 9, Line 10, Line 11, Line 20. Shenzhen has 411 kilometers of subway lines in operation, ranking the 5th in China, constituting an urban rail network covering eight administrative districts of Shenzhen Luohu District, Futian District, Nanshan District, Bao 'an District, Longhua District, Longgang District, Guangming District and Yantian District.
